Tracie + Tyler: Canyon Run Ranch Wedding Day
I have been looking forward to Tracie & Tyler’s wedding for what feels like forever now. We had an absolute blast while taking their engagement photos and I just knew their wedding would be even more incredible. I am SO excited to finally be able to share their day with you because *spoiler alert* it was better than I ever could have imagined!
Tracie has been telling her guests for months now that “I know our venue is a little far, but I promise you that it’ll be worth it.” And let me just say, it WAS. When I arrived at Canyon Run Ranch I was blown away. There were separate areas for each side of the bridal party to get ready in, so many awesome spots for photos, a gorgeous ceremony space, and the absolute dreamiest golden hour sunset field. I made my way to the bridal suite to meet up with Tracie & her bride tribe (so much fun working with so many people I’ve photographed in the past! Truly one of the BEST things when photographing a wedding!) and started documenting the morning. We had the best time laughing and relaxing before getting dressed for the rest of the day!
While I was hanging out with Tracie, my awesome second shooter Beth Ann was down by the barn with Tyler and his groomsmen. This space was SO cool and absolutely perfect for groomsmen to get ready in! The rustic look & string lights created a fun space for the guys to hang out in before getting dressed in allllll black (which looked incredible!) The guys had a blast taking photos together before it was time for Tracie & Tyler to share their first look.
This first look was so sweet and I just love the way that Tracie & Tyler look at one another. Once they shared their moment, we took a few more couples portraits at the barn before meeting back up with the rest of the bridal party to finish taking all of the group photos. We had a gorgeous sunny day and everyone in this bridal party was so much fun to work with!
After all of the bridal party portraits were taken, it was time to hop on a golf cart and head up to the ceremony! Canyon Run Ranch has a gorgeous little ceremony spot in the middle of the woods. The benches & alter arch bring the space together and make this rustic woodsy wedding theme into a dream come true. Their DJ, Nikki (with Biller Entertainment) started the ceremony music when the bridal party started down the aisle. As they were walking, the speaker went out. Instead of pausing the wedding, Nikki chose not to worry and started singing instead. This ended up being such a sweet moment and Tracie and Tyler both agreed that it made their ceremony so much more special (cue the tears!) After the ceremony we took a few family photos (but those are for Tracie and Tyler to share with you!) before heading back down to the barn..
After the ceremony we technically went back down to the barn to kick off the reception, but I'm going to wait to share those photos with you until the end of today's blog. Instead, I'd rather show you the dreamiest golden hour photos we took right after dinner . . . I am absolutely OBSESSED with all of these photos and am so thankful that Tracie & Tyler trusted me and wanted to leave their party to get just a fewwww more photos in. Not only were they up for running through the fields, but also totally down for sitting down and getting cozy in the tall grass. These two are always such a DREAM to work with!!
Once we were back at the reception, we finished up dinner, listened to speeches, and watched as Tracie & Tyler cut their cake (which matched their invitations!) They also shared their first dance as husband and wife, Tracie danced with her brother (and mom!), and then Tyler danced with his mom. The bouquet & garter were both tossed and then everyone danced the night away! EVERYONE was out on the dance floor and it ended up being such a fun night! Tracie & Tyler, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a spacial day for you! It was truly an honor and I had the best time! Congratulations again!
