This past week, I was lucky enough to be able to meet and work with The Gill Family for the first time. Jaci's best friend gifted her a photo session with me and it makes me so happy to see that people value photos enough to give them as gifts! This session just happened to fall on the same day that little Jackson turned 6 months old! How exciting!!
We met up on a cold October evening, but even with the chilly temperatures everyone was on their best behavior and we were able to move through the session quickly before it got to be too much. I love the mix of classic smiles and candid moments that always come with family sessions and this one was no exception. It's never very fun for kids to sit and smile in front of a camera, but it is fun playing games and capturing genuine laughter and loving moments. It's one of the best parts about my job.
I always think that it's so important to set time aside during family sessions to take a few photos of just the parents together. Jaci and Sean are a team and without them, this little family wouldn't be where it is today. Most parents that I work with really want to focus their session on their kids, but I think it's always a good thing to document the two of you at this point in life as well. You've come so far together and even though your children are growing older, you two are too. Luckily for me, Jaci and Sean jumped on the suggestion to take a few photos alone together and I am so glad that they did. Look at how adorable these two are!
