As most of the people who have been following my photography journey know, my mom passed away in October of 2018. Mother's Day is pretty hard on me, but I wanted to channel that sadness into something different this year. Instead of getting caught up in my emotions or my own story, I wanted to use them for motivation. Motivation to capture the photos I no longer have the ability to get with my own mom. I'm running my very FIRST Mommy & Me Mini Session Marathon this year. I still have a few time slots open for Saturday April 25th and Saturday May 2nd. All of these sessions will be taken during golden hour (both at sunrise & sunset) in this absolutely BEAUTIFUL field. I am just so excited for these sessions. I feel like so many moms focus on documenting the growth of their children through photos & video but never get the chance to be in a good photo with them. Not an iPhone shot, not a selfie, but a high quality, professional photo. And more than one. If you're interested in booking one of these sessions, PLEASE reach out to me. It's so important to get into the photo, if not for you, but for your kids to look back on one day. Trust me, it could be a photo your kid ends up absolutely treasuring.
"I know it's hard mama. I know it can be hard to get up every day and have these little people rely on you. I know it's hard to feel like sometimes your world is so small. I want to remind you, you are the world. You are the world that those little ones revolve around. You are their nurture, their home, and their comfort. You are everything to them, and I hope even on your hard days you know how special you are. Especially to your little people." -Anonymous.
