This past Friday I started my weekend off by meeting up with Laura and Cameron for their early morning engagement session in Newport! We were lucky enough to get awesome weather in the 50s even though we've now reached the end of December. The warmer weather, overcast skies, and empty streets came together to create the perfect morning for photos!
Laura & Cameron got engaged at the beginning of last month and we met up to talk about the details of their wedding day a few weeks ago. I meet with potential brides & grooms pretty often to talk about their upcoming wedding day, but Laura & Cameron's meeting with me was truly unique. For whatever reason, the coffee shop we met up in closed early that night and we actually ended up signing the contract for their wedding in a random aisle in the CVS across the street, haha. The spontaneity of their suggestion was my first indicator that these two would be SO much fun to work with and capturing their wedding day this coming June will be such a blast!
Even though I love myself a good sunset session, morning sessions really have such a special place in my heart. It's awesome to feel as though we have the entire world to ourselves and having the freedom to go anywhere we please for photos without having to worry about anyone who may wonder through the background of a shot unknowingly. Morning actually worked better for Laura & Cameron, so I was all in when they suggested the idea!
After a quick outfit change, we headed out to walk and explore the neighboring streets surrounding the levee and we were able to get a few photos with the adorable save the date sign they brought as a prop! I love how their photos have a perfect combination of dressy & casual along with a mix of an urban but homey feel. The plans for their wedding day are coming together and I am just so excited to see them in a few short months to document all of the fun and emotion that will come with such an exciting day. Cameron & Laura, thank you so much for trusting me to document these memories for you and I can't wait to see you guys again on the big day! Congratulations again!!
