Kaylyn {Senior Session}

Last week, Kaylyn and I met up at Ault Park for the first half of her senior session. It was such a cold and windy day, but she came prepared and absolutely rocked her session.

You may be wondering why I said that this was the first "half" of her session. I don't usually split my session times in half, but this was a special occasion! Kaylyn's hair is long. SO long. She graduates in May and decided that she wanted her senior photos to show who she was while in school, and who she plans to be with her degree. Right after this first session, she went straight to the salon and chopped her hair off! Ah! Her next session will take place once it's a litttttle bit warmer and will show off her new haircut! I'm so excited to see the finalized results!

This was also my first session using my brand new camera & lens. I'm proud to say that, up until this point, I've been using my trusty Nikon D5100. It's been my go to for the past SEVEN years. Now that I'm living this dream full time & have a summer FULL of weddings coming up, I decided it was finally time to really invest in my business & get a full frame camera with new glass. I'm now so excited to share that I'm shooting with a Nikon D750 and am SO in love with it! I can't get over the focus abilities and I can't wait to test it's low light capabilities in future sessions! I'm so proud of myself for working so hard to make it here, and I can't wait to see what continues to happen with this little business of mine. :)

Kaylyn absolutely rocked her first session and I am so excited to see what her second session brings. This wind was SO magical and she was an absolute champion putting up with the cold. Just to give you a bit of a better perspective on it, this is what she was bundled up to in between shots! You can't even tell in her photos! She makes it look like we had a nice Spring day, haha!

Thanks for such a fun day, Kaylyn! I can't wait until we get to meet up again for your second session with short hair!!
