Jude Is ONE!

I can't believe this sweet boy is already ONE! I honestly can't even begin to be able to explain how great it is to be trusted to capture such big milestones in the lives of the people that I get to work with, and it's an even bigger honor when people come back again & again. Jordan reached out to me to help capture pregnancy announcement photos when she first found out she was pregnant with Jude, and then for maternity photos, and then for photos after he was born, and now photos for his first birthday. WOW. It's so crazy to see the love that has continued to grow in this little family and it always makes me so happy to see the three of them!

We started the morning off by grabbing a few photos outside before the rain got worse than the sprinkle that it was. Jordan spent so much time planning for these photos and we were able to hop around between setups and get the cutest photos of little Jude. He may not have been too happy to have his feet touch the grass, but he absolutely LOVED his milk bath & balloons. I love being able to go back through these photos and see the way Alex & Jordan look at one another and look at Jude. It absolutely melts my heart, so, so incredible.

Because of the rain, we decided to finish up photos inside. Alex & Jordan's house is like a dream. So perfectly decorated AND filled with photos. It warms my heart to see so many shots that I've taken over the years proudly displayed on their walls. Jordan joked that she's not sure what milestone comes after Jude's first birthday because she's running out of wall space to hang more photos on! Haha! Even though Jude LOVED playing with his two favorite people in his playroom, his favorite part of his session was probably this next part, being able to get as messy as he wanted while eating a cupcake, yummmm!!

Jordan & Alex, thank you so much for always trusting me to capture these milestones for you! I'm so excited for you to see the rest of the photos in your gallery later today! Happy first birthday, Jude!!
