Hannah + Matthew: Cincinnati Art Museum Wedding Day

Last month, I had the honor of photographing Hannah & Matt’s absolutely gorgeous wedding day and I am SO excited to share a few of my favorite photos from their big day with you today! Hannah & Matt kicked off the day by getting ready at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Every single detail they had spent so long planning and organizing to make this day perfect was so unbelievably worth it. Their beautiful invitations, adorable cake topper that looked like their dog, the stunning bridal party colors, the thoughtfully chosen “party animals” seating chart, the absolutely incredible surprise guest at their reception, this day was beyond perfect from start to end!

After everyone was ready, it was time for Hannah & Matt to see one another for this first time. Even though most of my brides arrange a first look to capture the moment her groom sees her for the first time, I always love having my second photographer capture a bride's reaction to seeing her groom for the first time as well. This moment was SO sweet and both Hannah & Matt absolutely lit up seeing one another for the first time. These two are always so much fun to get in front of my camera and I love how much fun they bring out in one another! After their first look, we took a few couples portraits outside in the art museum courtyard before heading inside for photos in the galleries! Once we were done, we headed back outside for photos with their families, incredible bridal party, and their sweet fur baby, George!

After photos, it was time to head to the ceremony! Hannah & Matt had a beautiful Catholic wedding ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains in downtown Cincinnati. After their ceremony, we took a few more family photos and couples portraits around the church before heading back to the art museum to celebrate at their reception!

To kick off their reception, Hannah & Matt had their bridal party compete for the best entrance and then they celebrated with their first dance together. After a wonderful dinner, Hannah danced with her dad and Matt danced with his mom. After parent dances, we heard the best speeches before Hannah & Matt played the wedding shoe game & cut their cake. After that, they surprised their guests by having the University of Cincinnati Bearcat come & join the party! Together, the three of them tossed customized t-shirts off the balcony for their guests to catch before coming down the grand staircase & opening up the dance floor! Everyone absolutely LOVED this touch and it was such a special way to kick off the party! While their guests enjoyed cake & dancing (and Graeter’s Ice Cream!) we snuck back outside for a few more photos of Hannah & Matt together before the sun set. This was such a great ending to an absolutely incredible day and I am so unbelievably happy that Hannah & Matt are finally MARRIED!
