It's official, adventure sessions are my new favorite type of session. There's nothing like the reward of a gorgeous view after a long hike up a mountain, and being able to capture the love between two people along with that view is just incredible! A few weeks ago, I met up with Ashley & Ryan for an adventure session and we had a blast. This was a new location for me and I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I'm absolutely in love with how these photos turned out!
Just like my husband and I, Ashley & Ryan share a love of travel and adventure. The two just got back from a spontaneous trip out West and spent the weekend hiking at Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. I imagine that this little spot we found in Kentucky wasn't nearly as exciting as either of those places, but it's nice to have a gorgeous spot a little closer to home! Ashley & Ryan live in Lexington, so this wasn't far at all for them!
I will absolutely say that this location was worth the 4:30am wake up call to get to. These rocks were so much fun to work around and I love the moodiness they bring to these photos. Ashley & Ryan have been married for almost three years now and the way that they were easily able to make one another laugh was absolutely adorable.
Ashley & Ryan, thank you so much for spending your morning hiking with me! I know that you had a weekend packed full of adventure and it means so much that you'd dedicate another day to getting out and exploring :) Ashley, you are INCREDIBLE for hiking & climbing in your dress and you were both a dream to work with! I hope you LOVE your photos!!
