Monica + Eric: Maternity Photos

If you've been keeping up with my recent blog posts, you know that couples are one of my favorite subjects to capture. But once you add in a baby bump, everything suddenly becomes a thousand times better. Wow. Monica and Eric were so much fun to work with, and I can't wait to meet Baby Weiss here in just a few short weeks!

Monica is a little over 30 weeks pregnant and is eagerly waiting for the arrival of her baby boy in February. As we were planning her maternity photos and talking about different location options, she decided she wanted more of an urban setting and I am in LOVE with how well the location we chose coordinated so well with the outfits they had planned. Plus the fact that it's just a week before Christmas and we didn't have to be all bundled up in coats?? Yes please!

I've photographed a lot of newborns & small babies, but one thing I've always wanted to dip my toes into is birth and Fresh 48 photography. I casually mentioned this on Facebook one day and almost immediately Monica sent me a message. She agreed to let me tag along to see Baby Weiss be born and document the entire thing. WHAT! That is such an honor! Aside from all of the various medical professionals, she and Eric and I will be the only people in the room. I am SO excited.

This means that these two are trusting ME to capture and document not only the moment their son enters the world, but also the moment that they officially become parents to such a wonderful little man. The very first time that they get to meet him and see his precious little face. I am so over the moon excited and know this will be such a special experience.

After exploring the different backdrops and buildings downtown Harrison provides, we stumbled upon a small park and ended our session with a gorgeous golden hour. It was perfect, just like the entire session! I can't wait to work with these two again, and can't wait to meet Baby Weiss when the time comes!
