You all, I am blessed. Soooooo blessed. Not only do I have one of the best & most flexible jobs in the entire world, but I also get to work with the best people. Right now, I'm sitting at the airport alternating between writing this blog post & editing a wedding from last month. I'm on my way down to Florida for yet another "just because" trip to visit family, and I'm just thinking about how wonderful it is to be able to have a job where I really can work from anywhere.
Even though I worked SO unbelievably hard to get where I am with my business, I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now without the clients that I have. More specifically, the clients who cherish me as much as I do them. I've been taking photos of Sidney, Cj, and Rocky for three years now, and this past week they brought Carly along for the fun, too.
This year, I was feeling extra sentimental and started looking back through our very first session from 2016. Back then, I was still just starting out and had SO much to learn. Regardless, the group kept coming back, year after year. Most people don't realize it, but that is such a HUGE compliment for a photographer. Continuing to see value in your photos and fall in love with your work? Year after year? YES it makes me SO happy! Not only that, but Sidney is constantly commenting on statuses she sees on Facebook, sending out my name, and referring me to her friends and family. It means the absolute world to me, and I'm so happy to give her photos that she absolutely treasures.
This year, I am in LOVE with her photos. We got a perfectly moody day and aside from a few walkers out and about, we had the entire park to ourselves. On the morning of their session, I woke up to two inches of snow on the ground looking out my window. I was SO excited to finally be able to take their Christmas photos in the snow, but after my 45 minute drive across town, I realized that it really didn't snow anywhere else! I was pretty bummed at first, but we had the absolute BEST lighting and the moodiness of the day was perfect.
This is the best little group, and I am SO over the moon that they keep coming back to me for photos. I know their friends and family LOVE getting their Christmas cards every year, and I'm so happy to be apart of it :)
Thank you Sidney & Cj! I can't wait until you can see the rest of your gallery!!!
