Saturday's session was such a fun time. I got a call last week that someone needed a last minute photographer for a 90th birthday party and although I was a little bit nervous at first (25 family members sounded so big!) everything fell into place.
Family from across the country traveled to Cincinnati and met at this adorable mansion overlooking the Ohio River to celebrate their mother/grandmother/great grandmother turning 90!
Outside of photography, I also work in an inpatient rehab hospital where I meet a lot of elderly people. Let me just say that for 90, she was so full of life with her contagious smile and happy energy. She was truly the life of the party as her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren all gathered around her.
Other than photos with the birthday girl, we also took pictures of each little family. The colors everyone wore stood out against our brick and green backgrounds and I think it all fell together so well!
It's been so long since I've worked with kids and I completely forgot how much I love them! They make such cute and funny faces and really just make the picture so priceless. We fought a lot of tears, but ended up with some perfect shots of chubby cheeks and big eyes ... my favorite!
And before I forget, let's just take a look at how BEAUTIFUL this cake turned out! It sure does look delicious paired with the "90" cupcakes!
The entire day was so much fun, and I'm so glad that I was invited along for such a special occasion. Such a sweet family filled with so much love. Here's just a few more of my favorite shots...
