Kaitlyn and I have been friends for about three years now, and even though we've taken friendship photos for her 21st birthday together, we've never worked in a portrait session until last week.
One night this past December, our plans ended up taking us ice skating. Instead of going into downtown Cincinnati, we opted for a less busy rink in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. I had never been in that particular area before, but as we drove around the rink, we knew it would eventually be the absolute perfect location for pictures.
I love shooting in small towns like this. Lawrenceburg had the perfect mix of older garage doors, empty painted brick walls, and just the right balance of character for a different photo opportunity around each corner.
I probably won't ever get over how much fun I have with these spontaneous little shoots and it just reminds me why I do what I do! We had such a great time and I couldn't be happier with her photos!
